a question on the application

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how you guys deal with the application only in PDF(non fillable) format and typed information is preferred?
Most of the schools indicated Typing preferred but the application document does not allow typing. I do not have a typewriter any more. 😡
Does anyone have an idea?

Yes, even I have the same proble some times. It will be cool to know a way how to get around it. Someone knowledgeable please help.
