My question is if Keq>1, then the equilibrium mixture of reactants and products will?

A. contains less product compared to the reactants?
B. contains less reactants compared to the products?

Now the TopScore says its B. but I thought that since the equilibrium shifts right that means that the products are favored that means there are less products than the reactants! Can someone please explain? Thanks a bunch!

if Keq > 1 then the reaction favours products. (therefore there will be LESS reactant than product)
if Keq < 1 then the reaction favours reactants. (therefore there will be LESS product than reactant)
if Keq = 1 then the amounts of products and reactants will be the same.

watt's right, and those Keq formulas are good to memorize. You're right that products are favored, but remember that it's the formation of products that are favored, which means that more products are being formed (and as a result, more reactants are being used up). Therefore, there will be more products than reactants so the answer is B.

Another way to think of it also is Keq=P/R. In order for Keq to be >1 there must be more products. This also comes in handy when comparing Q to K.
