I'm going to be driving for 4 hours and would prefer to listen to the lecture during the car ride than wake up early the day prior and go to the lecture. It will be recorded online on the univ website, is there a way for me to get it onto my mp3 thru itunes somehow?

Troll?.. All you got to do is save the sound, than open it up in iTunes. From there you can upload it to your iPhone/iPod.

Not a troll, just much less informed than you, apparently. How do you save the sound off an internet video? Do you need a specific app? I have a mac.

You could probably get an answer by copy/pasting your entire post into Google and, you know, doing a little work.

I've looked at Google. I'm wondering if you all can suggest a specific app/strategy that has worked well and not risk getting scammed by a random website.

Different schools have different ways of making their lectures available online. Some don't allow you to download the lectures at all, while some provide itunes podcasts links for you. It is probably easiest and best to just contact your school's IT dept to see what their set up is.

Apparently I'm not being very clear with what it is that I'm looking for.

1. I have a Mac.
2. My university posts lectures online, a la youtube. Obviously they don't post a direct download link or I would use that.
3. I want a way to save the sound from the videos into my iTunes.

I'm looking for an app that will allow me to take sound from a streaming internet video (my university lecture) and get it into iTunes. Please don't respond unless you have an actual app or strategy suggestion.

What do you mean "save the sound"? How do you save sound from an internet streaming video? That's essentially my question.

Y'all are mean. I hope you are more kind with future patients... especially when volunteering to answer a question.

try downloading a youtube video downloader. just type that into google, youll find something that allows you to download videos from youtube straight onto your phone that you can access whenever youre online, (some even offline) wala
