I know I should just look it up but don't want to take an hour figuring it out so was just wondering if anyone knows when the best (earliest) time is to apply for the fee waiver AACOMAS has for low income applicants? Was also wondering what exactly is included with this "fee waiver"?

Also, changing the subject, 8 years ago i took MATH 0930 which is basically -*-=+ etc and got a C. Should i retake the class as i will get an A guaranteed or will it look like a copout because i've taken all my maths already and will obviously get an A? I have a 3.38cGPA and a 3.89sGPA so by retaking the class it will improve my cGPA quite a bit. I have a number of easier type classes from years ago (when i wasn't planning on being a Doc and didn't care about my grades) so is it not that impressive to see a graduated student taking all these beginning type classes again just to improve GPA or would it be more impressive to take harder, not taken yet classes and get A's but not improve GPA as much? In other words, whats better....bottom line GPA or class difficulty and way improved grade trend?

?

It's best to apply for fee assistance right away in the cycle. It covers the primary for 3 schools, and most of the schools will accept it for the secondary fee. You just have to look in the CIB to see which ones accept it.

They are all taken for this year allready. You can still apply though and if you qualify it would cover your secondary fees, just not the primary fee for the 3 schools.

Well, then you obviously know that sooner is better. I'm not going to do the work for you, but you can either search for threads about when AACOMAS started accepting apps this year, or look at their website. It's either May or June.

yeah thanks seap i need to just go on there and figure it out for myself. I just though it would be easier if someone already knew off the top of their heads then me having to figure it out from the website...that kind of stuff is always a pain in the a** for me. When you say may or june, do you mean this past may or june for the following year (for 2011 application cycle) because im applying next year and not this cycle. I thought it would open up around the first of the year seeing that you can apply in mayish right?

No, you won't be able to apply for next cycles fee waiver until next year. I just can't remember exactly when I was able to send in my app - it was either early May or early June. Actually, now that I think about it, it must have been early May because I was able to submit on June 1. I kept an eye on the site, and as soon as it changed from all apps are taken I mailed it.

I applied at the beginning of May and had it by the end of May. Once you get it, you only have 45 days to use it before they give it to someone else. (45 days starting June 1st if you get it before June) Assuming you will still be in school, you will have to have completed your fafsa before being able to apply for it. Also, don't forget to send a self addressed stamped envelope. You'll get a quicker response if you do.
