I got accepted within a week. During my interview, I got pretty standard questions just like how SDN has listed: why pod since I applied to MD & DO? Why Kent? Explain bad grade! Tell me about yourself! How will I manage school workload and family life? What is something that a podiatrist you shadowed did that you want to emulate in the future? What do you do when you find yourself struggling in class?

Lol I've been playing "tag" with my guy. Whenever he calls, I'm not available to pick up. When I return his call, he's seeing patients. I just left a message with his receptionist/front desk that it's "me" and I'm calling in regards to rec letter. At least this way he'll know why I'm trying to get a hold of him.

Has anyone already interviewed at Barry and if so how was it (style of the interview)?
 
Disclosing an online degree?

I see the school shows up in the AACPMAS but there's not an option to indicate whether the degree received there was online or on campus. None of the prereqs were taken in the online program; they were all taken at an actual school with in-class labs.

Does this look bad if the MS program was online?

Online or in-class shouldn't matter for a grad degree. You can always talk about it if they ask you during an interview. And, I do not think it looks bad because I also have an MPH degree through an online program, and I have received positive response from the schools.
 
Hi guys! I'm excited to announce that I have finally received ii's!

I submitted my application 9/20 but my transcripts were not delivered until 9/26. Application was verified 9/27 and received interviews from the NYCPM, Kent, and temple all today! Still Anxious to here back from the rest of the schools but feel more relieved now.
 
I have tried to confirm my interview date with Barry, by calling and emailing but still haven't gotten a response from them. They sent me the invitation, but won't give me confirmation to confirm the interview date?
Does anyone else have this issue?

I had a similar problem with them. Sent them an email to confirm the date and waited 2 days before calling after I didn't hear from them at all. When I called they said the date I chose was probably fine, but they'd call me back in an hour or so after they have time to confirm. I didn't get a call back, so the next day I called again (I was trying to get plane tickets so I needed to know beforehand so I kept bothering them) and they finally said 'yes, the date you have chosen is fine, you'll be getting an email from us tomorrow.' After 9 business days (obviously not including the weekend) I finally got the confirmation email.

When I e-mailed them they told me that they had Mondays & Tuesdays available until mid October. It took a day for them to confirm because I called the day after I received the invite to confirm it so I could buy a flight and book a hotel. Is anyone interviewing on October 10th?
 
Sorry for posting twice in a row, but Kent gave me 2 options, one being 5 days from now and one two weeks from now. Is it normal to be given options so soon? Makes it tough cause I'll be traveling from Texas haha.

They're just giving you their closest dates. You can generally ask them if they have anything later or see if they can get back to you once they do release the next batch of dates.

Last cycle I did Temple, Western, and Midwestern within one week. Nice to get them out of the way (and get a little vacation).

How long does it take for the transcript to be verified once it's received?
 
If I am scheduling interviews for November, is that too late? I am still waiting on my MCAT retake score(october 12th) to hear back from other schools but have heard back from CSPM, Barry, and Scholl with interview invites. Those aren't my top picks so I pushed the interview dates to later in the cycle(November 14,15,16) to hopefully hear back from my top 4.When do all of the spots usually fill up? Any tips you can give is much appreciated.

We are still pretty early in the cycle. But interviewing sooner will always increase your chances the most and give you the best scholarships.

I am not a 100% sure on this, but I think March is considered too late. I'm hoping this is correct though because my MCAT scores will be released in Feb, so fingers crossed.

If scores are released in February, you should stand a pretty good chance. Especially at the larger programs like DMU, Scholl, Barry etc.

Now the nerves are setting in haha :soexcited:
 
how long did it take for your mcat scores to send? been 2 weeks and they're still not there..

congrats to you and best of luck. Had my interview with nycpm and temple this week it was a great experience and super laid back. Relax and try to enjoy the experience 🙂
 
I haven't ridden a plane lately. I was wondering, can you take multivitamins on a plane? Specifically Spirit Airlines?

Thank you so much! Im really nervous for the nycpm interview because its three different ones, but its good to hear that they are chill overall

You can take anything you want on a plane. As long as you hide it

I applied pretty early on in the cycle so they might not have been as busy as they are now, but my scores were verified the very next day.

Just make sure they're in the vitamin bottle just in case
