What is the value of holding a campus rep position? Is it for its networking opptys? Does it add any worth to someone's CV/ERAS?

I think this post probably really belongs on the allo board.

Generally this kind of thing lets you add a line to your resume but I've never heard of anyone getting extra mileage on the residency trail for this kind of thing.

Moving to Allo - and agree: not sure any residency program is going to care about it.

If you are elected by your peers, it demonstrates that you have leadership potential.

It will be one line in a list of 12-15 things on your ERAS that will get glanced over in approximately 0.5 seconds.

Do it if you're interested and passionate about the work. It will mean close to zilch for residency apps.

Meh, if you aren't elected class president no one cares. Even then its an EC that doesnt get that much mileage compared to the time youve got to put in. Many of these other offices are uncontested and residencies know this.
