Just received email from ABA.

Still have no clue what the "standard is???" Answering 120 questions is the standard?

This is the email I (and I assume others got)

"The ABA Board of Directors has set the standard diplomates must meet using the MOCA Minute® pilot to demonstrate they are maintaining their specialty-specific knowledge. We are pleased to inform you that you are performing at the level expected of a board-certified anesthesiologist. Having answered 120 questions, you have fulfilled your 2016 MOCA Part 3 requirement. You will begin answering questions again in the new year."

I'm up to 71% with 90 questions answered, and I got an email today saying I was "performing at the level expected of a board-certified anesthesiologist" Anyone else care to share their score?

Sounds about right. 70% seems like the goal for ABA.

Please stop talking about MOCA in this way. If your comment is not LETS ABOLISH THIS COMPLETE AND UTTER HORSE SH** , YOU ARE MISGUIDED. 71%. GO HOME YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER (ADD EXPLETIVES)

I'm pretty sure many of us are scoring over 80% on MOCA. A passing Score is probably pretty low (40%?) but with their grading system it is hard to tell.

I'm fortunate that I won't be participating in this crap much longer as it is a waste of time.

I think one of the videos said % correct isn't tied to their pseudo-p-value thing. There was something about difficulty of individual questions and if it's related to stuff in your own practice (I guess determined by the confidence/relevance questions after each question).

If you sit down and bang out 30 at a time, I think it's hard to do poorly simply because you're going to see a bunch of repeats. However smart or dumb a person is, anyone will remember the answer to a question they saw 6 minutes ago.

Seems like they could stand to be more transparent about heir statistical handwaving.
