I say hype. I have a better system right now....I call the rep and tell them to meet w/ the patient and repro then I get a report from the rep after. I think the only patients this can be helpful who live in BFE and have limited transportation. otherwise...meh

I can see a "perfect world" for stim companies - we order a stim kit from Abbott. they fed ex it to the office/ASC. we implant, the nurse "plugs" it in via wifi prior to DC, then you follow up with patient at pull and you just log online and order the perm.

They have different levels of device reps. The clinical specialists I think are lower on the totem poll and do the most driving for IPG checks, those are probably the positions they are trying eliminate.

Ding. This is a great way to reduce the business costs associated with neuromodulation. I'm shocked Abbott's coming out with it instead of Stimwave or one of the smaller companies.

I agree it'll likely lead to less CS support as the companies/docs will still want a person on the ground during cases and for market development.
