so for some reason, i'm having trouble with all the abbreviations with lines over them (like c (with line) meaning with).

does anyone have a list of what they all mean? thanks!

the abbreviations in clinical medicine are too numerous to list here, but lists certainly do exist. some are redundant, though. for instance, i've seen CRF to mean both chronic renal and chronic respiratory failure, although i normally associate it with the kidneys.

regarding the ones with lines over them, i know of only a few:

s = sine = without
c = cum = with
a = ante = before
p = post = after
x = except, e.g. NPO x meds
