About advanced positions

Hello guys,

would like to ask you, is it possible for someone to get into advanced position without preliminary year in US?
Taking into consideration that I'm enrolled in an ACGME-international internal medicine program and will finish 3 years before joining.

You'd likely have to ask programs this question directly. If it is an ACGME accredited program, then it SHOULD be okay, but programs have different standpoints on this issues.
