Hi, I was looking around this dicussion board
When you guys were talking about your GPA
is that the GPA you got from your school or
AADEA converted GPA?
I heard GPA goes up little bit when you submit your
GPA to AADEA

Also, do dental schools take AP credits for their requirments?
I had AP credit for chemistry, math and physics
so I skipped 1 or 2courses of the required courses.

I am not sure about Ap credits.

Regarding your gpa going up on aadsas...

IF your school follows A,B+,B,C+,C... then your GPA will decrease every time you get a + grade ie. B+ C+ etc...

if it follows A,A-,B+,B,B-,.... You GPA will increase or remain the same... increase a little not that much...

if it follows A,B,C,D then it will remain the same...

and if you ever get an A+ then your gpa will increase... b/c on aadsas A+ is 4.33

hope this helps. 🙂

thank you for your answer
I'm asking this question because i was checking
http://www.adea.org/dental_educatio...tructions/Documents/2011 GPA Calculations.pdf
this website
When I use calculation in this website my gpa goes up about 0.1
I'm currently enrolling in UW using ABCD without A+
Is that the website that I use to calculate my gpa?

Yes, thats the website you use to calc. your gpa... but when you apply they do it for you...

check out the faq on this website too... https://portal.aadsasweb.org/
if you have not already applied this cycle go a head and open an account to see how the app. looks like for future cycles...

Thank you so much for your answer
so if I get 2.9 on my class, AADSAS gpa is 3.0
right?
sorry i'm asking too many questions
I'm going to apply next year but my gpa is only around 3.4(no conversion)
so i'm bit worried.

Um... so if you get like a b in a class and your school gives you 2.9 for a B then your adsas gpa will increase... i dont know how much..

dont stress too much about your 3.4 the only thing you can do now is to study hard and increase it by doing the best you can... and also get a good score on dat.

I am pretty sure a lot of schools will not accept AP for science pre-reqs. Of the 17 I applied to the only AP credits I can apply towards a pre-req are for English. You have to consult with each individual school to answer that question.
