I just realized that as a registered user I have the ability to edit other peoples posts... This shouldn't be right.

Someone care to fix this? Or is there a purpose behind this?

Never mind... Phew! I clicked on the little pen and notepad and it brought me to a screen where I could edit the contents of someone else's posts.

Anyway, I tried, and it wouldn't let me ... phew!

Only Moderators and Administrators can edit others' posts. If we do, we will clearly indicate the post has been edited by us. This is generally limited to the following:

1. Obvious typos.
2. Adding links (If a book is mentioned we might add a link.)
3. Protecting confidentiality or the rights of other readers.
4. Copyright violations.
5. Adding helpful comments (clearly indicating the source of the comments.)

I think there are 2 administrators and just a few moderators who have those priviledges, and we try to be responsible.

Thanks!
