  1. Pre-Veterinary
I am currently applying to veterinary schools, and this is my first application cycle, as I am about to complete my final year of my bachelor's degree. During my sophomore year of undergrad (and a very difficult time mentally and academically), I turned myself in for academic dishonesty on an online laboratory final. I did not fail the class; instead, I received a 0 for the assignment and was required to complete an integrity course the following month. After completion, the Honor Violation Probation was removed from my record, and the University assured me nothing would be visible on my transcript. Must I still disclose this on my TMDSAS application when asked, "Were you ever the recipient of any action by any college or professional school for conduct violations?" even if it is not visible on my record? I know if I disclose it, it will make it much more difficult to be considered for admission, along with my GPA, which is not poor, but falls just below average for admitted students. But I am fearful that they may find out through other means, assume I am lying, and permanently ban me from applying again. Any advice 🙁

It is a yes or no question on the application and from everything you said here the answer is yes. You can explain the circumstances (without making excuses) and everything that came after in an explanation statement.

I honestly can't say that I know how adcom's approach these kinds of things, but I absolutely would report it.

I will disclose it and discuss my self-report and its removal from my transcript in the explanation. I was very remorseful after the fact, and that's why I had decided to self-report at the time. I have definitely learned an invaluable lesson from it and hope they consider that when reviewing my application. Better to play it safe and avoid getting blacklisted.

Yes, you must disclose, even if the record is expunged unless the prompt says otherwise.

The more you own up to it, the better. It's a test of your integrity; do you have it?
