So, I just got my MCAT scores back and I bombed it with a 21,O. Im contemplating retaking it (which I will most likely do) but I was wondering if anyone has been accepted with such low scores? (similar to mine)

grades? shadowing? ec's?

it obviously is at the low end of the spectrum, but the reality is you might still be okay for this year, although you will have limited options.

you'll get in..........somewhere. As long as the classes isn't full so hurry up and apply...
And as Air dude said........if your grades are solid, you did some shadowing, and got good letters you got a good chance.

I know of students who have been accepted with scores as low as 16 and 18. As long as you apply early and your GPA is solid, you will probably be fine.

My god those are low scores. If these students pass classes at DMU, AZPOD, or Western, whose to say MCAT scores aren't accurate predictors of medical school success?

Hey guys just wondering, how do you send your MCAT scores to the pod schools?

I haven't taken my MCATS yet but i have interviewed at schools. They wanted a 17 on my MCATS.

way to go admissions departments!!! You know, this shows how the real world works. Its like in sports. When the player goes to a crappy team from a good team because he got a better contract....and he says it is not about the money....its about the money.
admissions departments may say its not about the money, and they are looking for well rounded students and the MCAT may not indicate the person's true potential.....its about the money.

LOL, okay people with low (under 20) MCATs can get in, but can they get out (with a degree?)

Which school said they wanted 17? I know Samuel Merritt has a minimum requirement of 16 and Western hasn't established a minimum yet.

By the way, which Podiatry schools are like well-known as far as accepting those students with high MCAT and GPA scores. For example, if someone graduating from Harvard Med will have more recognition than Howard Med.
