Accepted Publication, when to update?

Hi all,

I just had a paper where I am co-first author be accepted. According to the journal, a DOI has been generated and an unedited version is available on the web. My PI has the opportunity to make some edits and send it back in before final publication. I'd like to send an update to schools as soon as possible and the journal notified us that the DOI does not change during this whole process. How do I go about sending an update to schools?

You can update immediately. Just put (accepted) instead of the publication date. If the school does not have a web portal with an update uploading option, then your best bet is to email the admissions office with a PDF.
