Hi friends,

I know this seems silly, but if anyone knows my story I've been retaking and taking tons of new classes to repair my GPA from a 1.9 -> 2.97 currently. It's been a long road, but after next semester I'll hopefully be close to a ~3.2.

That's fun and all, but here's the interesting part: I found out according to AACOMAS that they classify "Health Science" courses as "Other Science". Fancy that, my school offers the whole health science program as online courses. So I've been taking some here and there to boost my sGPA as well along with not being terribly difficult. Well it turns out that the classes I've taken have added up and I'm only 16 credits away from another degree! Health Sciences with a "Science" emphasis 😱

So here's my question: I've clearly been working on repairing my GPA and I want to prove that I can take science classes and do well. I'm taking biochemistry and biophysics this semester and both are going really well. If I'm going to take the 16 credits to finish this degree next semester, it's going to involve taking some lower-level classes. HLTHST 101, 202, 207, 215, 382, and 400 specifically. This Spring where I'd be taking these classes would be the last semester before I apply this Summer. I don't want it to look like I'm attempting to cheese my GPA to be higher by taking easy courses, but it'd be cool to have a second degree under my belt as well.

Do you guys think that doing this would be a bad idea in general? @Goro would you look down on me for completing a second degree in my last semester with "easy classes" when I'm trying to repair my GPA?

I think that your plans are solid.
