Hello, I was lucky enough to receive an acceptance from UToledo. Before I finalize, they have asked me to check a few boxes before accepting their offer. This is on the UToledo Application portal, not AMCAS. Would checking this box be binding? I am still on the waitlist for my dream school and I don't want to fully commit to this offer just yet.

Any advice is appreciated!

You should be okay to check because (the way it is written) you understand what CTE means. I presume UT's CTE date is July 1, so you promise that BY July 1, you will CTE.

It would be a whole different game if the prompt said, "ON July 1, I will CTE..."

These attestations are signals to the admissions office you understand the rules of CYMS. You formally commit when you press "I accept" to your offer. Enrollment deposits are also good indicators to the admissions team.

Thank you! That's what I was hoping it meant. I wanted to make sure it wasn't binding as the portal won't let me accept the offer until I have checked both of those boxes.
