Yikes! I filled out four people for the letters of recommendation part of the OptomCAS application, not knowing that it would submit the request forms to them right away. I thought it would submit after I submitted my application.

I don't know what to do now because I need to also submit a committee letter but I didn't enter it as I haven't gone in for an interview yet hence it's incomplete.

So I filled up all 4 slots, when I'm sure I really do need to include the committee letter.

I tried calling OptomCAS but of course it's closed at this time.
Any thoughts anyone?

that's what i thought as well, but i guess as soon as the four slots were filled for the section they assumed that was it =/

with aztecbolt's advice 🙂 i will indeed cancel the request on optomcas so that the link won't work when they click on it, i think i'll send them a personal email too to explain the mistake

but now i'm on a time crunch, i need to cancel the letters before they might submit it but i'm not sure which!

i'm a bit stuck now as to which letters to use, because my dilemma is I definitely need to add on the committee letter and a letter from an optometrist (whom I will ask later)

so I kind of have to cancel two requests that I sent:

I have two science professors, one who seemed very kind but probably doesn't know much about me, the other whom I spent more time talking with and can probably say something more meaningful about me, so I'll probably pick the latter as a must.

Then I have a letter from a professor whom I've taken many classes with as I minored in Korean studies and I've worked closely with him so I know his letter would be more extensive~

The fourth is someone I worked for at school under work study, it was just office work but she loved me.. lol

so i'm not sure which two to cut in order to fit the committee letter and the optometrist letter

I would keep the science professor since some schools require letters from science professors. I would cut the person you worked for in the office. As for the korean studies prof and the other science prof that dosen't know much about you, its up to you to decide. If all your required catagories of LOR's are fulfilled it might be helpful to have the korean studies prof who can talk about you in great depth as opposed to the science prof. Gluck!

I asked the person I worked for, and the science professor I didn't know as well to please hold off on the letter submission for now. It's all good though I think since their letters might still be in the committee letter since they already submitted it to my college office heh
