ACOM vs NoordaCOM

Very grateful to have two acceptances this early. While the cycle isn’t close to being over, I want to make sure I narrow down my choices ASAP. My current specialty of interest is psych, but this could obviously change in the future. I would appreciate your input and opinions on which school I should pick.

ACOM

Pros:

• More established
• Great match list
• Teaching hospital access
• Great board pass scores

Cons:

• Location, far from family and in a not so exciting area.
• Attrition rates, said to be getting worked on but still a worry

NoordaCOM

Pros:

• Good match list for their first class
• Location, still far from family but in a beautiful area where I have friends living
• Facilities, very modern and nice
• Seemingly great faculty support and student morale

Cons:

• Still a “newer” school
• Still no federal loans (idk how important this is now with the BBB loan cuts)
• Board pass rates could be better

Academically, I feel like ACOM makes more sense. However, I feel like I’d enjoy my time at Noorda more and still receive a good education. Let me know your thoughts! I appreciate any input 🙂
