Is there a zoom function that can be used to increase/decrease the text size? I vaguely remember reading on the Self-assesment that you can use control +/- and that it would also be usable on the exam.

But it seems like it's for people who qualify for accommodation which was due way back then. On the real MCAT, fonts will be a bit larger than it appears on your screen. It's not hard to read.
