Pathoma and First aid 2014 are a little off when it comes to the values for Pre-renal Azotmenia, Intrinsic Renal failure and Postrenal azotemia.
Which one is correct?
Pathoma says
Pre-renal azotemia:- BUN/ CR > 15, Urine osmolality > 500, First aid says BUN/CR > 20
Post-renal azotemia there's two phases first phase is okay so the same values are pre-renal azotemia. Late phase he says it's BUN/CR < 15 and Urine osmolality being < 500. Where as first aid only talks about BUN/CR being > 15 in post-renal and urina osmolality being < 350.
Does it really matter that these numbers are kind of different?
