on an ADA practice test, a question asks:
12. As far as their products are concerned, all biosynthetic reactions in living cells result in:

--> the answer that they say is:

A. a more ordered state, therefore a decrease in entropy

Why is this? doesn't the 2nd law of thermodynamics state that systems move towards disorder?

Bio-synthetic reactions are synthesis reactions. You're going from 2 or more reactants to form one product. Therefore, you are making things more ordered and decreasing entropy.
