Well, I had requested my NBDE part 1 score report to be sent to UTHSCSA on 22nd of sept..
I didnt get any mail from UT about my application status until one day before the deadline, stating that "my application is still incomplete and that they are waiting on my NBDE scores"... I then contacted ADA about this and they said that they had mailed my score report on the 27th of sept and they also mentioned that schools always say that they havent received it and misplace it, but they would consider me as a special case and mail an additional copy again on 3rd nov for free .
I contacted UT again and requested if they could consider my application, (coz it wasnt my fault that they didn't receive/misplace my score report) and that ADA would send an official copy again and in the mean while if i could sent a notarized copy? but they denied it saying tht its schools strict policy tht they wouldnt consider anything after the deadline.

who is to be blamed? I did my job of requesting score reports, all other universities I applied to did receive it on time, then how come UT didn't get it.

did anyone else had a similar experience?
wht should I do now? should I just forget tht I applied to UTHSCSA... I am depressed.

It happened to me too, I requested the nbde scores 2ce and both times the school said they dint receive it, I ordered for the 3rd time n also requsted 1 copy to be sent to my home address. Then i sent it also to the school just in case. So 2 score reports finally reached the school.
If u live near by the school, i suggest u go to school n see the head of admissions, else write to them
explain everything ... n hope for something good to happen...
I know how screwed up the whole application processing things get.....we suffer because of some1 was careless....very sorry for you...

sorry to say it does not matter who's fault it was, unless you get someone to hear your petition at the school, it will be your fault and you got screwed by ADA or your complacency got the better of you, as you let the deadline arrive or get get close without the proper follow up, you must give this stuff priority and make sure these people do their job!!!

iomega, sorry to hear that, The whole application process is absolutely ridiculous. We, foreign dentists are new to the whole system and not organised. By all means they can have their own way. Having said all this, it is actually our responsibility as an applicant, to check with the admission office if they have received all the materials well before the deadline.
