623. What causes a reduce of pulmonary ventilation:
A. Laryngeal muscle paralysis
B. Air way obstruction
Hi
I think the answer is B. as in case of the laryngeal muscle paralysis there is respiration/ventilation but the paralised muscles can't function where as in case of the airway obstruction there is no ventilation atall.
Cheers

- A. To smooth the rough surface
- B. To minimise the retention of plaque
[/LIST]

The answer is B. as plaque retention is a very important issue/disadvantage with the use of partial denture(RPD).

Hi, you guys are wasting your time reading old MCQ. I think you should read the latest MCQ, the Cowsons MCQ book , Bouchers mcq book, Oxford handbook of clinical dentistry and the Clinical Problem Solving in Dentistry will lead you to the top. But you have put some real good time like 10 to 14 Hours a day for 3 months to clear the exams. I will never recommend any one to read the old MCQ and waste your time.
- 26. Your employer makes an attempt to update office sterilization procedures; what wouldyou recommend as the BEST method to verify that sterilization has occurred:**

- C. Use indicator strips daily and spore test weekly
- D. Use colour change tape daily and spore test monthly
- E. Use colour change tape in each load and spore tests weekly
- The answer is E.
- This E. answer should be "use colour changing taps on each package and spore test weekly"

hi, am sitting for the adc prelim in march and really lost not sure what to read/not to read. i reckon the best way would be to have a look at the past papers, thou i dont know where to obtain them.....please help...........
HiYou can get the additional materials from OET itself. The information is available in the website www.oet.com.au
plz read thro the thread so that you can know what is being asked in the examination. You can also get some idea abt how the test was conducted.OET sends samples to the candidates few days before the test.I am sure that everyone can crack OET as the english is simple & doesn't involve complex words.plz read all the posts relevant to that in this forum.
ALL THE BEST FOR THE EXAMS.I heard from one of the doctors who appeared for the OET that he got the material from one of the city common libraries in Australia. But I AM NOT SURE WHETHER IT IS CORRECT.Plz check if possible.ALL THE BEST FOR PEOPLE APPEARING FOR OET ,ADC Preliminary & clinicals
cheers,
