If you think your info is incorrect or missing pls let me know😉

I have a feeling that we are like a small United Nation now:laugh:

Hi Drill, Thank you very much for organizing such a nice group.I really appreciate it.I want some information about the text books of the preliminary exam.I would be delighted if you could send me the PW of that account.
Thanks

hi all , could you pls have a look here 😎
pls don't delete any single msg unless you make sure the stuff you deleted are useless.
the reason i say this is that I just found one of the useful mails are staying in the trash box 😉

the way gmail format its mails makes it impossible to delete one single reply under the title of one original mail. If you delete a reply , the original will also go into trash . :meanie:

Don't know if you can understand what I say. 🙄 but pls take a look and take care

I think Sep prelims and OETs are all over by now.
Those who just finish tests could you write a post about the experience or any information that you think might be useful for future candidates 😎
you can either post here or send it to the account . 😀👍

Thanks drill

Dear dentists, here is a reply from ADC about increasing test dates .

Does it suggest that ADC is not going to improve anything .

😡😡😡😡
😕😕😕😕

could each of us write to health authorities to take this issue seriously ?

Dear ****,

I apologise that it has taken a number of days to respond to your e-mail. The ADC receives hundreds of enquiries each week and we attempt to give all of them the attention they deserve.
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif].
The ADC provides opportunities for more than 1100 overseas trained dentists to sit exams each year, including 400 who will sit the clinical examination in the 2007 intake. There are 13 clinical exams offered each year which equates to on average, more than one exam per month, and these exams require access to suitable clinical teaching facilities. There is a finite limit on the availability of these facilities. It is not possible to simply add another exam date.
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif].
The ADC has successfully negotiated more than a 6-fold increase in exams and candidate numbers in the space of 5 years. This is a very significant expansion than has greatly increased opportunities for candidates. This large number of candidates means that even though we have greatly expanded the exams, and while we would like to satisfy the wishes of all candidates as to timing of their exam attempt this is not feasible and there must necessarily be a priority system for allocation to the exam places. These details are published on our website.
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif].
The closing dates for exams are provided to applicants at the time they become eligible to enter the examinations process. Information about the structure and content of the clinical examination is clearly outlined in the Candidate handbook.

4. Clinical problem solving in dentistry / edited by Edward W. Odell For SAQs*****
5. Dental materials : a problem-oriented approach / edited by Robert G. Craig
6. NDBE Part-II

Option 4.
for SAQs --Odell ( thats all ) available everywhere or on amazone.com
for MCQs --
1) Dental Decks ( 2006 CLINICAL ) available on their site .
2) oXFORD Handbook of clinical dentistry ( pink book by
Mitchell)
3) NBDE papers ( if time permits ) available with american dental association or on SDN forum --inernational dental
4)Old Question papers available with most of the juniors
5)Masters in Dentistry ( clinical dentistry subjects + O.path,O.radio
and dental materials ) ( go for this if time and Money permits !!)

Option 5.
1. Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology by Neville Damm Allen Bouquot ELSEVIER
2. Dental management o the Medically Compromised Patient by Little & co Mosby
these two are nice ones for mcq and saq preparation I think
3. Phillips' Science of Dental Materials is a bit "dry" but a good source as well
4. Handbook of Pediatric Dentistry By Cameron Widmer Mosby I found that book ok, maybe not everything I would like to find.
5. Contemporary Orthodontics by Proffit, a bit too technical, difficult to find necessary information, very deep and good for spec. in orthodontics.
6. Dental Decks, read and remember!!!
7. And of course
Oxford
handbook of Clinical Dentistry is essential.
8. Odell is good too, but a bit "too much" for SAQs.

option 61--handbook of clinical dentistry .( you can buy it from amazon.com )

2--mosbey's review for nbde, part 2 only.( you can buy it from amazon.com )

3--mcq in dentistry( by cowson, you will only find
it in university library, like sydney uni,or
melbourne uni )

4--find any book of pathology, written by R.A. Cawson
and read it.

5--the most important book is :clinical problem solving by ODELL.

6--& do not forget the 1000 mcq bank.....very very important..

this is really bad if some one is deleting information from the common account ., drill is doing all this efforts for all of us not for himself alone . Inspite of appreciating and encouraging him people are doing this stupid thing . becoz of non affectionating ADc we are already facing many difficulties. so i request pls be united and not to do all this things .I request the person also, who did this mistake ,pls pls dont do all this things , if it is by mistake only then pls come forward and let drill know.
thanks

Dear Drill

It is really bad news that the effort you started is gone with the wind.
To protect this group we shouldn't accept new members unless after a while and they should introduce themselves first
We all know that there are some who do not want the good for others
Sharing knowledge can not be stopped even if they did this thing
As far I know that who help others ,God will help him

Composita😡😡
