Hey guys! Long story short - I need reassurance, help, advice, etc. The thing is, while my cGPA is pretty decent (3.34), my sGPA is about to take a major hit. This semester, I completely blew my first exams in bio 2, chem 2, and physics 2. I've been working really really hard to bring those scores up ever since. Right now it looks like I'll be getting a C in physics, a B- in bio, and a C+ in chem, essentially making my sGPA somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.7. Am I done? If I can do well later on in my upper level classes, will I still have a chance?
One factor to consider, up to this point I had gone undiagnosed with ADD. The doctor I used to go to didn't believe in ADD, and refused to test me. My new doctor tested me and began treating me about a week ago. In light of this, has anyone else gone through the same situation? How did it turn out? Has anyone made a miraculous comeback from such a crappy sGPA and gotten accepted first round? I think at this point, I might just apply to DO schools exclusively, not simply for GPA reasons, but also b/c of philosophical similarities.
