Is it worth adding any more schools late in the application cycle, just before the primaries deadline?

No, adding MD schools in October is very unlikely to be beneficial. If you want to send a letter of intent by all means do so.

You included DO schools presumably because you’re concerned there are weaknesses in your application that made it clear an MD acceptance isn’t assured. You hit most of the schools that give you the best chance. Let the season play out.
