Look at it this way ,, you had time to enjoy your stay in the US without diving right back into your books.Personally I think it was good that you chose not to take it right after you landed here 🙂 You have good scores by just any std's so dont let yourself down. Its just that there are too many applicants & very very few seats making life diffcult for all of us.
Most schools do say that they would also consider part 2 if you have already given it, How that works is if they have 2 appilcants with the same part 1 scores ,experience etc , then they would choose the one with both part 1 & 2, But if they have someone with good part 1 scores & one with ok part 1 & good part 2 scores they'd still prefer the one with a better part 1 as that was a "requirement".
The best way to find out if you have a chance is to contact someone ( student) from that school & ask for the last yrs cut off score ( not the one they mention on the website), most schools stick to their avg scores & schools with tech test give a lot of weightage to the practical skills. (Lomalinda,UOP,USC,UCSF, UCLA)
