Hi guys! I am trying to pre-write common questions for secondaries once they arrive and was wondering what adcoms might think of a potentially risky topic. A large portion of my time at college (I am only a few years out of college) was marred by an emotionally abusive relationship that isolated me from a lot of my support systems (friends, family, etc.). Though it didn't impact me academically, since I think I retreated into studying and doing nothing else, I've realized (now that I'm out of it) that it did in the end change who I am for the better.
I've seen a couple threads that caution against topics like this for fear that schools will see the writer as someone who isn't mentally stable/emotionally fit for medical school. I have another topic in my head that would work for the adversity prompt, but this was definitely the most challenging thing that I've gone through to date.
Thank you for your thoughts!
