Hi All,
I will start off by introducing myself....
My name is Melissa, and I am a hopeful pharmacy student for this Fall at Hampton University, and new to this forum. I am currently a certified Pharmacy technician. I have been on this site, looking at the great advice and suggestions everyone can offer so I thought I'd try my hand at asking for some myself!
Some information that may already be known:
Hampton University's deadline for submitting their applications for the pharmacy program for this fall was March 1. They are calling for interviews now.
My concern:
Other people in my class have gotten phone calls for their interviews. People that I work with have also received calls for interviews. I have not. Just from asking others how they did on the PCAT, what their GPA's are, etc., I have found that I am just as, if not more competitive than they are in some areas. So, of course not hearing anything from the school one way or the other, I am really getting worried! I have found out that they have 130 people to interview, and only 30 seats available for the upcoming term. No more stress added with those kinds of odds! 😱
My husband says that I would have received a rejection letter by now if they weren't even going to call me for an interview, but do schools mail out rejection letters so early after applications are due? This is my first time applying to anything other than a community college, so I don't know what all to expect in the application process.
What should I do? Should I call them and find out if they are going to call me or if I am a reject? Should I just go ahead and treat the ulcer that I am giving to myself and wait for whatever they are going to hand my way?
What does anyone suggest I do???
Thanks!
Melissa
