Advice for possible reapplicant- what to do?

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd seek out some advice from anyone to see if they had any ideas of something I could do to boost up my application. I am sitting on 2 WL from both of the schools at which I interviewed.

Stats:
4.0 sGPA
3.98 cGPA
29 MCAT- retaking in mid-June

ECs:

• 350 hours of rescue squad volunteering
• 150+ hours of shadowing (around 100 with the same doc)
• 100 hours volunteering at a clinic
• 150 miscellaneous volunteering hours- through student orgs, volunteering at a camp, etc.
• leadership positions in two different student orgs, with active membership in others
• part-time work as a tutor for 2 years during college
• TA for one semester

My plan right now is to try to help with research from a professor that I was a TA for this summer (environmental research) and also help with research from a biochemistry professor at a college that is closer to home. I have loosely committed to both and they both understand that I will have to pick up and go if I do get accepted off of either of the two WL that I am on. Since I might have to leave, they probably won't give me any very important duties when it comes to the research projects- probably just assisting. With my MCAT in June, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how I could improve my chances in general besides that and research? Thank you! : )

VA. Applied to a bunch of OOS schools plus VCU and UVA (wasn't really expecting an II from UVA though). I will admit that I didn't really have safety schools or many safe schools this cycle. I guess I thought my gpa would make up for it- but I know better now!

I am on the WL for Hawaii (JABSOM) and VCU.

If you can increase your MCAT score to at least 508 you should be in good shape this coming cycle. For schools apply to:
ALL your VA schools
Quinnipiac
Vermont
Hofstra
New York Medical
Albany
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
GW
Georgetown
Wake Forest
Tulane
Creighton
St. Louis
Loyola
Rosalind Franklin
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Roseman (new school tentative for 2017). Henricopolis also possibly opening in 2017 but less likely.
You need to apply to a lot of schools because of your MCAT score but the GPA will help you receive interviews. You could still come off the wait list in the next month but if you have not heard by mid June then reapply.

Pretty damn strong applicant...if your mcat was a few points higher u would get interviews to a several schools...I'm still hopeful that u will get off of one of the wait lists though...possibly VCU!
