Hi all!
So I am starting my D1 year this fall, and Ive been feeling so stressed about actually living on my own for the first time, and starting dental school and managing school/labs/home life. Any advice on how to get settled?

I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve been slowly acquiring necessities (pans, Tupperware etc.) and reading through old threads about what to expect and prepare for.

I'm hopeful there will be some pre-orientation opportunities for you. I agree that you should move maybe a month ahead of time to lock down your lease and get accustomed to going back and forth from school while the weather is good. Find some social groups (related or not to the dental school community) to join and hang out with them before school starts. I suggest some sort of cooking class that is not associated with a beer/wine tasting group (not cheap). Ask what current students did.
