Hi everyone,

I am a 2016 grad with a molecular bio degree from a good private liberal arts school.

I graduated with a 3.13 sga and a 3.33 ugpa. I have a upward gpa trend and my junior and senior year sgpa is higher.

That said, I know my GPA is too low to apply to MD schools at the moment.

Extracurricular background:
1) Worked at UCSF in a research lab with 1 pub
2) Shadowed pediatrician for a one year
3) Worked as a clinical care volunteer for 180+ hours during college

Currently studying for MCAT (plan to take 8/31) - currently practice tests are at 510-515. Hoping to get higher by test day, as I'm mostly missing content questions.

I have been offered acceptance at a KGI post-bacc for this year, but I'm not sure if it will help as it will be a separate graduate gpa.

What should I do this year to maximize my chances of getting into schools next cycle? I'm considering linkage SMPs or Western's MS/MS program, but I wanted to know what I could do this year to help/aid in the increase of my sGPA.

Thank you in advance for all the help.
