I've been accepted to the post bacc program at both Duquesne University and Washington University as a record enhancer. My stats are 3.5 GPA overall and 3.06 science. Haven't take the MCAT Does anyone have experience with either program? Where should I go?

I personally don't think you need to go to a postbacc program. Do well on the MCAT and you could have a good chance. Maybe take a few science classes and get As.

Thanks for the reply.

You don't think I need to do a post-bacc with a 3.06? Isn't taking a few science classes the same as doing a post-bacc, but more informally. I'm a senior and about to graduate and I can't take classes where I go now.

Well I'm not sure..you have a good overall GPA and a good MCAT might help you out still.. A formal post-bacc is more expensive and more commitment but of course it could help you more than hurt you.

I've also applied to a local state school as a second degree student. I could take whatever classes I want and leave when I'm done. In reality, that's what I'd like to do most. I'd live at home and it would be the so much cheaper. However, my mom is worried that the school doesn't have "the name" as the undergrad institution that I went to or some of the post bacc's I've applied to. I don't really care about that, but is there some veracity to that worry? I have letters already set up from my college, so I don't really feel like I need that much guidance. Would that be a better option than say Wash U?

if you do well on the mcat, I would go state school for sure. It doesn't matter that it doesn't have a "name". There is some issue with taking pre-reqs at a junior college, but beyond that if they're upper div science courses, you should be fine. Just make sure you get A's 😉
