Has anyone tried the free online practice exams by Kaplan’s program Kaptest? I’m wondering how useful they are since I’m starting practice exams!

I bought the Kaplan self-paced version and I prefer Next Step. Next Step seemed to offer a fairer assessment of my performance. I hope that helps.

Great to hear! I actually just took my first NextStep FL today. So i will look into buying more NextStep exams!

They are really content heavy and difficult. Don't be discouraged. They do this so you get a higher score "guarantee" and your test score is always higher than their "deflated diagnostic" or you feel discouraged enough to then come to them for help.

Awesome work starting practice exams - make sure to keep a log and don't focus on the score. Focus on the stamina, learning from your mistakes, and getting better at reasoning regardless of which FL you use!

Thank you so much for the advice! I’ve been looking around for free materials just to build the stamina. So far I’ve taken the Kaplan half length, NextStep diagnostic and their Full length #1. They’ve helped me get the hang of taking the exams. I will definitely be recording all my scores!

For someone who plans to do as many FLs as possible they are great. But the free ones are useually shorter in length and used to lure you in to their courses. so don't be discouraged when you score low.

Yeah, my plan was to just find as many resources as possible to practice with so it helped out. But it definitely gave a lower score than expected so thanks so much for the advice!
