Hello all, I am thinking about enrolling into a year long SMP in case I dont get into school this cycle. My logic is that if I dont get in this cycle, I can have a different GPA (from the SMP, which Ive heard is looked at differently) to apply with. These are my stats for this cycle:
3.65, 508 (128/126/128/126) >150 hours of volunteering (3 different countries) and shadowing (worked at a teaching hospital for a semester and followed teams of med students and residents), 2 semesters of research, worked as an EMT for a year. Applying to mid/low tier schools please let me know if you guys think this is a wise decision for my gap year. Thank you in advance!
