Advice on Reference Letter

I have been volunteering at a hospice since December of last year. Most of this work has been training (coming to lectures, practicals) and only recently have I started working with people (less than one month). Is it too early to ask for a recommendation letter from the supervisors? Generally how long should people wait to ask for a reference letter.

Very situational, depending on how much you've interacted with your supervisor. If you were in their position, would you be able to write a personal (and more importantly, strong and supportive) letter of recommendation?
