Advice on starting an anesthesiology interest group

My school doesn't have an anesthesiology club/group. My classmate and I plan to start one up. Just wondering if anybody out there has done the same. We want to have some ideas when we meet with our dept chair next week. Plus, does anybod have any cool acronyms for a club?

We got the dept to pay for lots of good food at all our interest group meetings. Surprisingly, the dept was happy to oblige.

Southwestern's is "SPAM" but for the life of me, I can't remember what it stands for. Society of P___ Anesthesiology Members or some such.
