Thank you all for contributing to such a helpful community. I'm looking for some advice.
Goal: matriculate into united states med school as soon as possible.
My stats and current position: graduated with an econ major from a top 10 school in 2008. cGPA: 3.35; sGPA: 3.50, 4 year varsity athlete and lots of non-medical leadership in UG. Teach for America experience, started a health club at my school, then became an assistant principal. I have been volunteering and shadowing for a few hours per week for the last few months.
I've prepared applications to post bac programs at Goucher, temple, uvm, tufts, and Harvard extension. I have not obtained recommendations for these programs yet because I'm worried about telling my co workers that I'm planning to leave and I did t stay in contact with professors from UG.
Dilemma: I'm not sure what to do here! Any advice would be appreciated. Should I get a rec for my co workers? Should I postpone a year?
Thanks🙂

Get rec letters where you can, and see if you can contact any of your UG professors. You never know; they might still remember you! I'm not sure what you would gain by postponing a year. Contact the programs you're interested in applying to and see what policies they have on rec letters and if they can give you any pointers.

plumhill, thanks for the encouragement and suggestion. I spoke with a woman from BM yesterday, and she let me know that I could get a letter from my undergraduate dean saying that I was a student in good standing.

While not ideal, it may be the best I can get from my UG!
