Does anyone know how long the interview day lasts at AECOM? It says I need to be there at 8:45 for a morning interview, and then there's a lunch and tour at noon, so are we done after that? My flight doesn't leave JFK until 9:45 pm, so surely that is enough time to get back. But my uncle who lives in NJ says that if I don't get done until 4 or so, then it might be tight with rush hour traffic and I should shell out $70 for a cab. It seems crazy to me that it could take 4+ hours to get from one side of town from the other--any New Yorkers want to chime in? My general plan for to and from the airport is JFK-->AirTrain-->subway to Manhattan-->BxM10 express bus to the Bronx. Thanks for any advice!🙂

You'll be done by about 1:30-2. I left at around 2, took the BXM-10 to 5th and 34th and got there around 2:40. Spent a hour or so shopping, took the 4:17 from Penn Station to Newark, grabbed dinner, chilled for a bit, then hopped a 7:15 plane.

You'll have plenty of time to do whatever you want in NYC for a bit if you want, or else you can go to the airport and chill for six hours if you desire 🙂
