As a far as I know , GPR programs don't take FTD. UNLESS u have done an advance standing program or AEGD. Call them and find out.

Thank you Xander25 i will call Monday

Do a PASS search on the ADEA website. that will give you some requirements of the programs and contact details.

I am interested in this subject too, I went through PASS, all the program required DDS/DMD !!
I am always hearing that FTDs are applying the AEGD ?? so how is that?

Believe me ,you will be surprise that of how many info is out there that is no correct. Listen to this, this year I applied to Prostho and when I did my research I started with the PASS engine search program , I went through all the requirements like: DMD/ DDS ( US or CAN only), have a license, GRE, TOEFL, BOARDS etc. According to the engine I qualified for only TWO programs. Then I decided to call myself one by one to all those Proshto programs. I ended up applying to 15 programs...... When I called or emailed I asked them , if they accept internationals, if they required boards or GRE score. Most of them said , if you are international we encourage you to apply , and because you are international you don't need boards. , in some of them said , boards are needed but exceptions can be made.

To summed up my advise will be , do it yourself! and start calling or emailing ! you have a lot of time!!!! Good luck:thumbup:

I agree with the above post.
Therefore my previous post had the words - contact details.
Doing the calling up thing is very important. this is true for any program in the USA, if you are an international dentist.

What are the requrements for the FTD?
Which schools accept ftd?
How hard is it to get into this program?

that was great ,, so after all did u get an acceptance?
but still I have a question about the Prostho ?? and AEGD ?
I know AEGD is that advanced education in general dentistry .. and it is a program with 2 years for all the dentists ..
and Prostho .. this is another advanced education program that is different from AEGD ... right?

so what did u mean when u said "I applied to Prostho starting my second year of AEGD"?

Yeah I got into a MS in Prosthodontics. AEGD is General Dentistry and Prosthodontics is a specialty they are completely different. I meant that while I was doing AEGD ( currently ) I applied to Prostho (you have to apply one year before the starting date) .

Ok now i got u hhhhhhhhh
well that is really good .. i hope we can do the same as u ..

but my q was about AEGD not prostho .. I looked for the program that accept FTDs but I couldn't find only Florida .. I was thinking about AEGD to increase my chances in working here .. because I know as a specialist would be difficult for me to find a job here ..

this is my idea .. I dont know if it is right or not ..

but can you tell us Xander please was it difficult to get into AEGD?? and what programs do you think accept FTDs other than Florida and Rochester?

BY the way guys I checked St. Louis they accept FTDs for MS perio, othro, endo ..
