AF IFB and JBGME ?

The IFB results for my class were just posted, and there were no deferred/redeferred slots listed in my specialty of choice (EM). It seems like last year there were only a few deferred spots listed on the IFB results and 13 officers ended up in civilian programs.
So I guess my question is: Do I tell my wife that there is no chance of us getting a civilian spot, or does that possibility still exist?

There is always a possibility, but i highly highly doubt it

Last year, out of 9 out of 31 spots to 0-3's (probably flight surgeons)
This year, there are only 15 spots?

Also, there are 54 PG-1 FP spots and 53 PG-1 IM spots? I thought there were only ~100 scholarships? (not including USUHS)
