first of all, there was no way in HELL that i could have done this without all of your help. second of all, i didn't really think i'd get to do one of these, because if i didn't match up to the average on here, i was going to go hide in a cave and no one would ever know that i took this damned test. sooo...

third of all, i hope that this might give some people who haven't been doing too well on topscore some hope. i made a post a few days ago really worried because i was getting 16-18 in the sciences for all three tests, except for a 19 on the last ochem, and i was absolutely DREADING today because most of the responses said i was only in luck for maybe an extra 1-2 points, if that. that being said, i did everything i could yesterday from staving off a heart attack, so i went to the beach for the day and got really burnt instead. ALSO, i went to bed at like 10:30 last night, and literally had organic molecules with teeth flashing in front of me until i finally got so frustrated around 3:30 from not being able to sleep that i went in to my parents' room and got into the bed with my mom and cried. then i got up three hours later to get ready. onward!
i felt that bio was really straightforward - i read cliff's twice, used wiki and some other sites, and got up to #260 in destroyer before test day. i don't really remember there being any "WHAT?" questions. i'd been worried because i only really put in about 2, 2.5 weeks for bio.
chem was actually the one i was most worried about, but i guess it all worked out in the end! i did pretty poorly in the class itself when i took it 4 years ago, but pretty much all i used was kaplan and destroyer. i did destroyer overall i think 3 times (both gchem and orgo), and 2 days before the test i really went over the ones i was still getting wrong.
the same to be said for orgo. i took that class 3 years ago, and it was so traumatizing that when i started reading it in kaplan, i might as well have never taken the class at all. so kaplan, destroyer 3x (yay road maps!), and the mcmurry textbook here and there.
i'm going to agree with the minority for CDP here and say that the PAT i got was pretty unlike TFE and folding. keyhole was about the same, angles were a little easier - OH, and there was one hole punch problem where the last fold they did made no sense, or at least i'd never seen anything like it. there was no paper movement - all they did in the last frame was add a line down the middle - i was so mad. pattern folding, holy CRAP. they had the craziest shapes, nothing like the crazy shapes i'd seen on CDP where you just need to pick out which "main shape" was the only real choice. cubes were easier on the real thing too. but i guess overall CDP was accurate score-wise because i was getting 21-23 on the practice tests.
took a quick break to use the loo and ate part of an apple and some chocolatey cats cookies from trader joe's. i signed back in and sat down with 22 seconds to spare.
RC was actually kindof enjoyable - DNA microarrays, calcium channels, and language. searched and destroyed for the first two, more inference for the language one, so i had to read the whole thing first.
QR... i knew from all the horror stories that this would be interesting. there were a few i came across and went "pfft" and skipped to the next one. with around 30 seconds left i just started clicking any letter for the last i don't know how many. i didn't really prep much for this part because i was putting all of my focus on the sciences. i went through regular destroyer once, and did the math sections in topscore and was getting 18s and 19s, but i had quite a few lucky guesses in there. hopefully it won't hurt me too much...? just obviously try not to do what i did if you can help it.
so at the end, with the clock ticking down to 0, i covered my face in my hands and peeked between the spaces while waiting for my scores to come up. but the survey came up first. so after i did the survey, i covered my face in my hands again and when i saw "2-'s between the cracks, oh my god. i have an overall 3.26 and a science 3.00 (as per aadsas), but built my way up from a well-under 3.0 gpa my first 2 years to 3.6 and over for the last 2 years, so hopefully SOMEONE will take me. i applied to 13 schools. psych major, bio minor.
again, a huge thanks to all of you 😳 good luck to everyone taking it soon!
