Cool. Are you from the SD area by chance? This LA convention should be pretty fun. I live in SD right now, but I'm an LA native. Split a room at the Standard with lab-mates if you want to have a fun time.

I actually live in Palo Alto, my PI will be booking rooms and stuff so I don't know where the rooms are. Are u from UCSD?

Bunch of people from my lab (MA) will be going, not me unfortunately. It's a huge lab and I guess I am not considered important enough to get a piece of the pie.

Ya, it's tough to pay for everyone's flights when you got a really big lab.

thats true especially if you live out of state. I am surprised only 3 people know about the convention and only 2 people is going? I though its kind of a big research convention
