Hello,

I was wondering for anyone who has taken their Air Force interview for the HPSP scholarship...

What sort of questions were asked?

Is there anything that I absolutely should mention?

My sister is in the US Navy as a dentist under the same scholarship - should I focus on this aspect?

Thank you very much!

I did my interview last week. They want to quantify things on your resume and want a deeper description of each activity on there. They also have your 9 questions, so that helps explaining some of your resume. They'll ask you if you have any connections to the military, so you don't need to focus on it for your entire interview. It will come up naturally. They look for good communication skills throughout the entire interview. Best of luck.

I thought the airforce only had one board meeting, which was in january? Are you guys still applying or is this follow up for the January meeting?

Did you apply for the 3 or 4 year scholarship? I am applying for the 4 year scholarship. I was told that the board is meeting sometime next week, and selections will be let out sometime around the 14th. Maybe they meet again?

No I didn't apply at all bc I thought AF boards only meet once... miscommunication with the AF recruiter? He hardly ever answered my emails/phone calls =/

Maybe he meant your packet had to be submitted by January (was told the deadline was 21 Jan)? The info I got was the same as woof's...the board will meet in early Feb and scholarships will be handed out mid-late Feb.

So would it be too late for me to apply? =/

From what I understand, the board only meets once and it'll be sometime this week. Never hurts to check with a recruiter though, and you can always look into the 3-year scholarship. I hear Army is still taking applications also...and they give you an extra 20k signing bonus!
