Interviewed there early in the season and wasn't really taking them seriously before I got there as I was treating it as a "practice interview" and honestly wasn't even sure why I had applied there when i got the invite. regardless I went on the premise of practice and walked out of there with great respect for it. great facilities, very dedicated faculty, plenty of patient volume, strong advising program, strong fellowship placements. akron isn't anything amazing but this is a great hospital. large nicu at around 70 beds, large picu, ed that has trauma bays and where some cleveland clinic residents also rotate. Good half-day continuity clinics in a private pediatrician's office. those who want to go into private practice often get contracts from these continuity clinic experiences even before graduating. great place, enjoy your interview!
