Try the Schlafly taproom or the square one brewery if you are a drinker. Also cool is Bailey's Chocolate Bar (right by Square one brewery and SLU med. school). If you are out by Wash U, consider going down to the University City Loop on Delmar... A lot of pretty good places to eat (Fitz's Root Beer Factory and Blueberry Hill are my favorites... Cicero's is also great).

For CU (which is technically in Aurora but downtown denver is a short drive)


16th Street Mall: just about anything and everything for cool restaurants, movies, etc.
Lo-do in general (which is sort of the north-west side of denver) just walk around and choose something
steak houses, fish places, breweries, anything
its a cool city so really anywhere you go there are sweet places to eat or drink
