I did do a search, but did not find much information.

From what I understand, the Atlantic Brdige program is a way for NA students to study medicine in five Irish medical schools. They are five year programs, with the exception of one four year program, at RCSI.

Also, it seems that these schools do not send NA students back to the US or Canada after basic sciences are done. Why dont they do this? Is there any news that they may do so in the future? Is it pretty difficult to set up clinical rotations in the US?

bump.

basically...will any of these five schools help you get elective rotations in the US...are there "agreements" per se.

No. Because Ireland and the UK also are not feeder systems into the US, unlike the ethos of many Carribean schools. They do not need to cater to the US - more than that cater to the needs of their own people.

Yes, you can get rotations in the US that count - moreso at Surgeons than the other schools again, because of the above.

Your chances of getting back into the US if attending an Irish school are very good (ie first choice in your rankings), except for the traditionallly ultra competitive specialties like ophthalmology, radiology, etc. and also if you apply to schools that have experience with Irish, let alone Irish grads - eg northeastern schools with PGME programs like Harvard, Brown, etc.
