First Post:

I just got on the Alternate Status at UPENN and I was wondering what I should do from here on out. It is my number one choice and Im wondering if writting a letter pleading "why" I love UPENN would be too much. Can anyone give me a recommendation for what to do next?

GPA:3.4/3.3(Sci)
DAT:22(AA)/22(NS w/ a 29 in G-Chem)/21(PAT)
Interviewed: UF, Nova, Columbia, BU, Tufts, UPENN
Accepted: Nova (my fallback), BU (not going), Tufts (not going)
Waitlisted: UPENN

Thanks fellas!

i think if you're on a waitlist then u'll for sure get in..ask them how far along u are on there and tell them it's your top choice.....and hopefully ill see you next fall!

This last year Penn called up people from the waitlist as late as orientation, and they said they went pretty far down on it. Being on the waitlist is not the same as getting the kiss of death. Hang in there!

Thanks for the confidence!

I spoke with UPENN today and they informed me that no decision can be made until May. From now until then, I'll just have to cross my fingers.

So I'm guessing the class is full and they're just going to wait and see who doesn't make the 2nd deposit on May1. Other people will also drop out as the summer goes on.
