I understand the general rule is you only talk about high school if the activity carried on through to college. I keep coming back to this thread: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?p=7162792#post7162792 But I still have to ask. One of the secondaries I'm looking at asks about a personally rewarding experience. It is neither related to healthcare nor to a high school activity but something that did happen in my last year of high school. A big personal project that I completed. I'd really love to talk about it, because I don't want to restrict myself to just talking about healthcare... Then again, if it's just not appropriate to talk about it, I won't. Thanks!

If it affected who you are and answers the question thats fine.

The post-HS rule is generally about the actually listed activities on primaries and secondaries. (eg. volunteering in a hospital in HS isn't going to help for your clinical experience for applying to medical school).

That's what I thought it might just apply to, but I wasn't really sure. Thanks!

Does anyone feel otherwise?
